Having a really good understanding of the way our work impacted on the environment meant we could put together a comprehensive plan to reduce that impact. The 9 Point Plan, illustrated in the animation above, is exactly that, and has informed our environmental efforts ever since. What we've noticed as we've carried out each of its 9 measures is that many of them have not only reduced our carbon emissions, but saved us money too. On the back of the Plan, we reduced the carbon impact of delivering 1 tonne of product from 39kg of CO2 to 34kg between 2001 and 2006 – and that’s despite our business growing significantly in that time. But we didn't stop there. In the illustration below, we walk you through what we've achieved in each of the 9 points since our 2006 benchmark figures.
